Infographic Resume
The tool that I chose to use to make my info graphic resume was visualize.me. I
chose this tool because it was the first tool out of the suggested list that
looked cool, and seemed to actually work. Also, the sight looked pretty cool and
allowed me to change many things on my resume, including themes and color
schemes. Also, I was able to change all of my information relatively easily,
including the information that I linked from linkedin. The process that I took
to complete this info graphic essay was relatively simple, but took some time to
do. First I made an account with linkedin and answered the questions that it
asked when I created my profile. After that I went to my settings and put in my
classes that I’ve taken and the schools that I went to. After that I
experimented with the websites and found out that I liked visualize.me more than
the other three options. Then I created an account on the website and linked it
to my linked in account. Afterwards, I had I added languages to my info graphic
so that it will show all of the languages that I’ve taken. Next, I added
interests and adjusted the settings on my skills so that they would appear more
impressive than they actually are. After that I added jobs to my work experience
and messed with the color scheme that way everything was pretty and things were
more visible. The problems that I had with this tool was that it would delete
information from the info graphic when I added other thing, but I quickly found
that refreshing the page every time I changed something allowed me to overcome
the challenge. Also, I had a hard time updating my info graphic after I changed
information on my linkedin account, but I found that all I had to do was ask for
permission to use the info from the site again. I would use this tool again,
because now that I can use the site without problems, it is very easy and simple
to make cool info graphic resumes.
